Our program is designed for 48 months, and upon completion, each participant will be awarded a Chaar foal, ensuring their direct contribution to the breed’s revival.

Program “A” 4-Year Commitment to Preservation

 • Duration: 4 years (48 months)

 • Monthly Contribution: €50

 • Total Contribution: €2,400 over 48 months

 • Reward: At the end of the program, each participant will receive a Chaar filly, a carrier of the rare ChaarSuluu gene, playing a vital role in the future of the breed.

The Chaar horse is a living testament to Kyrgyz nomadic heritage, deeply woven into ancient traditions, rituals, and ceremonies. Yet today, this remarkable breed stands on the brink of extinction.

In the harsh mountainous terrain of Kyrgyzstan, where survival depends on resilience, the Chaar horse has thrived for centuries, perfectly adapted to the land’s extreme climate. Preserving this breed is not just about saving a horse—it’s about protecting an irreplaceable piece of history, biodiversity, and cultural identity.

A Revival Against the Odds

Thanks to a dedicated breeding program, we have successfully restored genetically pure Chaar horses with their signature Appaloosa patterns—a sight once feared to be lost forever. What began with just one stallion has grown into a thriving herd.

In 2021, with the support of friends from around the world (USA, France, Luxembourg, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Canada), we launched the Accelerated Chaar Horse Breeding Program. Today, 13 passionate contributors are working together to rebuild this incredible breed.

The program focuses on ensuring the next generation of Chaar horses, securing veterinary care, and providing fodder to sustain them through Kyrgyzstan’s harsh winters.

Our Vision for the Future

By 2025, we aim to reach 60 purebred Chaar horses. By 2029, our goal is 130 horses, ensuring the breed’s long-term survival.

As we work to preserve and revive this unique breed, we must also respect the role of wolves and other wildlife in the natural order. The challenge lies in finding a harmonious solution, one that ensures the survival of the Chaar horses while maintaining the integrity of the ecosystem. By carefully managing this coexistence, we can protect both the horses and the predators, preserving the balance of nature for future generations.
